Client data is stored in Canada in our own data centers, behind enterprise class firewalls. Only authorized providers are able to access information to provide client care. Homewood Health’s Information Technology department upgrades the security capabilities of the information systems on an ongoing basis. Access controls for staff, which are based on the staff job roles, limits the staff members’ access to client records on a need-to-know basis to perform their job duties. The organization’s system uses passwords and encryption to protect the system and electronic devices from inappropriate access.
Our Member Area portals are secured with Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), directing visitors to https:// websites where appropriate.. SSL is the standard security technology for establishing an encrypted link between a web server and a browser. This link ensures that all data passed between the web server and browsers remain private.
Consult your web browser to confirm SSL is in use. Portals are audited routinely to ensure they are secure and pose no risk to client data.
