Measurement-Based Care

At Homewood Health, we use Measurement-Based Care (MBC) to guide treatment with evidence, not guesswork. Progress is tracked regularly, shared openly, and used to adjust care in real time – so treatment stays focused on what’s actually helping.

What is Measurement-Based Care?

How it works at Homewood Health:
  • Clients complete brief measures at intake and throughout treatment
  • Clients and clinicians see up-to-date results right away
  • Care plans are adjusted based on progress, not assumptions

This approach builds on Homewood’s user-friendly electronic platform, Touchpoint, designed and developed in collaboration with the Homewood Research Institute, Homewood expert clinicians and those with lived experience.

Measurement-Based Care is the routine, systematic use of validated measures, often self reported, before, during, and at the end of care to help guide clinical decision making. Scott and Lewis, 2015. Measurement-Based Care is associated with 3.5 times higher likelihood that the client experiences reliable change, 42 percent higher overall improvement in clinical systems and 40 percent lower dropout or cancellation rates and 25 percent lower no show rates. Why it matters — especially in a landscape where many providers don’t use MBC

By offering MBC as standard, Homewood Health stands out among other providers- clients and families can choose with confidence, knowing their care is backed by science, measurement, and a commitment to ongoing improvement.

With MBC at Homewood Health results in measurable progress, care adjusting when needed, clear evidence of outcomes and stronger connections with the treatment team.
