Winter can take a toll on our energy, mood, and motivation. Shorter days, colder temperatures, and disrupted routines can all contribute to feeling run down or emotionally drained. To support well-being during this season, we’ve curated a collection of practical resources designed to meet people where they are.
At the centre of this collection is our 8-part Winter Well-Being video series, led by Gabrielle Provencher, Director, Enhanced Mental Health Care & Workplace Support at Homewood Health. Drawing on her clinical and workplace mental-health expertise, Gabrielle explores how winter affects our mental and physical health, and, more importantly, what we can do about it. Each short video offers clear, evidence-informed strategies to help individuals better understand their winter experience, manage low mood or energy, and practice greater self-compassion during the colder months.

The video series is complemented by our Winter Well-Being article series, which dives deeper into topics such as how winter affects our bodies and energy levels, why slowing down can be necessary rather than a setback, and strategies for managing the “winter blues” with greater self-compassion and awareness.
Together, the articles and videos provide a well-rounded, accessible toolkit for navigating winter with greater awareness and resilience.
We encourage you to watch the full video series and share it across your networks throughout the season. Note: videos recorded in English with French captions available.
