Family Support

Homewood’s family programs provide an opportunity for families and friends to gain knowledge about the addictions and/or mental illnesses facing their loved ones. The programs also provide insight into the treatment and recovery process. Family programs offer information about the impact that mental illness can have on families, including caregiver stress and risk factors for those close to the patient. Family program participants can also discuss their experiences with peers and share practical advice in a supportive environment.

There are specific family programs for five of Homewood’s main in-patient treatment programs:

  • Addiction Medicine Service
  • Comprehensive Psychiatric Care
  • Eating Disorders Program
  • Post-Traumatic Stress Recovery Program
  • Integrated Mood and Anxiety Program
